NEWTONLANE
THE BEGINNING


I started first attempts in the early 90th. The program called Newton Lane calculated the movement of planets under the gravity force of a suns cluster. During the calculation the lane was depicted on the screen so the visitor could follow the movement and finally a sopisticated ribbon appeard.

At this time HLX and me built an installation for the Grassi Museum in Leipzig.
NEWTON SCRIPT
THE WORLD'S MATRIX


After 2000 we took the old idea to windows world with some additional features. The program generated now lanes automatically and handled more than one world simultanously - we got a world´s matrix on the screen. A smooth erase procedure was implemented and the system was able to generate what we call NEWTON SCRIPT.

In a couple of art projects HLX has used the program and developed this idea further.

THE GLSCENE SOLUTION


In 2003 the great GLSCENE project came to my ears and opened the amazing possiblities of 3D. Nowadays we can generate and even paint lanes with some 100.000 knots. The complete environment can be saved and loaded into a scene. One can zoom in/out or just rotate the whole curve with a mouse movement. A lane can be coloured in different modes.
